2024 Mulligans Skim Jam

The United Skim Tour enjoying the best of Vero Beach

The 17th Annual Mulligans Skim Jam celebrated a milestone year, delivering an electrifying weekend at Sexton Beach Plaza in Vero Beach, Florida, on August 30th and 31st. This marked UST's eagerly anticipated return to Florida and its introduction to Vero Beach. A free clinic for aspiring skimboarders kicked off the festivities, with pros volunteering their time to inspire the next generation. Sydney Pizza from Dewey beach, Delaware; Elian Becerra Jaurez from Jalisco, Mexico; Dylan Duncan, From Panama City Beach, Florida, and Sterling Meyers, from Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. The spirit of giving continued with Alex Bevard from Boards from Humanity donated new boards to 2 of our Little Board Riders that came to our camps this summer and competed in Skim jam. As the competition progressed, the excitement built, culminating in a welcome party featuring the Shore lb. Film Festival debuting skim video awards and a special world premiere of the newest Slug skim video at The Boiler.

The world's largest one-day skim contest kicked off on Saturday with an impressive display of athleticism and determination. Top skim boarders from Japan, Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, California, and the East Coast pushed through tough conditions to deliver outstanding performances. Timmy Gamboa and Chabe White emerged victorious in their respective divisions, capping off an unforgettable day of competition. As the waves built from 1-3 feet to waist-high, the event's energy reached new heights, solidifying its reputation as a premier skim boarding competition.

“This is the best day of my life.” Timmy Gamboa said after his win. “My dream came true. I told myself, before I retire as a pro skimmer, I just want to have at least one UST contest.” We are stoked Timmy could win his first contest here in Vero Beach!
